Position Overview | The District is growing and we are looking for a Temporary Full-Time Planner 3 for a two-year term for the Development Planning Department. You will be responsible for leading, overseeing, directing, and guiding staff engaged in major planning projects involving complex technical and negotiation situations and often politically sensitive issues; and ensuring that these achieve outstanding development outcomes in accordance with Council priorities, District bylaws, polices, regulations and guidelines. You will liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in carrying out major planning projects, including Development Engineering, Building, Environment and Community Planning. You will also be expected to lead or participate in ongoing policies, programs and other work matters related to the work of the Development Planning Department. This will include being a part of the Development Approval Process Review, zoning review, urban design and public realm guidelines development, and other corporate initiatives that Development Planning is part of. Details: Salary: The pay range for this unionized position is $61.73 to $73.15 per hour (2024 rates).
